AA Meetings in Bangladesh
We are few alcoholics gathered together to face our disease of alcoholism and decided to start AA meeting in Bangladesh. There are many NA meetings in Bangladesh and we used to do those meetings. We found alcoholics in those meetings who strives for AA meetings in Bangladesh. As a result, we started a weekly AA meeting at Banani church. Now a days we have seven(7) AA meetings meetings in a week at 12 Steps Recovery Club located at Road 17: House 11; Block D, Apartment-A6;Banani, Dhaka-1213 . So, that alcoholics who stays in Bangladesh for a week will get the chance to be in a meeting in any given day.
Is A.A. for You?
Only you can decide whether you want to give Alcoholics Anonymous a try-whether you think it can help you. We who are in A.A. came because we finally gaveup trying to control our drinking. We still hated to admit that we could never drink safely. Then we heard from other A.A. members that we were sick. (We thought so for years!) We found out that many people suffered from the same feelings of guilt and loneliness and hopelessness that we did. We found out that we had these feelings because we had the disease of alcoholism. We decided to try to face up to what alcohol had done to us. Remember, there is no disgrace in facing up to the fact that you have a problem.
The Twelve Step Prayers
The Twelve Step Prayers were created using the text of the Big Book of Alcoholics Anonymous. The text used to develop the prayers are shown at the end of the prayer in parenthesis. My hope is that these prayers will provide a framework for you to develop your own or expand Continue Reading Prayers.
